Affordable and Enjoyable Overall

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I lived in a two bedroom at Hamden Centre Apartments for one year (June 2004-June 2005) with 3 people total. We had all just recently graduated from college and were living on small budgets, so the rent was very affordable and the space gave us enough room to live comfortably.
The area was great, especially because the apartments and parking lot are removed from the street so there were never any strangers roaming about. The tenants were not loud and the staff always came immediately if we needed their assistance. The laundry machines were pretty much available all the time and there were always spots to park our cars. Also, they don't charge extra for having more than two cars in a two-bedroom apt.
Overall, our first year out of college was an enjoyable experience because we were able to save money and live in a safe and friendly environment.
If I had to make a complaint, I would say that the people who lived across the hall from us smoked heavily and always cooked fish for dinner, so quite often our apartment smelled like smoke and fish.
All in all, this is a good, clean place to live. The grocery stores and gas stations are really close too. If we had stayed in Connecticut, we would probably have stayed there.
