Cheaply constructed, shortcuts everywhere, bad parking, car break ins, no management, broken promises, bad washer and dryers, management does not respond, expensive rent, walls are too thin due to lack of insulation, energy bills are too high doe to bad construction, and management staff will lie to you, especially Fran Demao - Leona Helmsley is nicer than her.

There are now too many other apartments out there for College Street Management to treat thier tenants this badly. The Hartford Paper loves David Nyberg - they should check out the complaints on him down in New Haven, just check this site on his buildings. This guy is a scam artist with a smile!

It is the same way in Lowell...except that no one up here cares about David Nyberg (or even knows who he is). Who does he think he is, Donald Trump?

If they arent delivering what they "put in writing" , take a poll of the tenants. If the majority shows lack of care to safety, continual neglect, take the group and all together put your rent money into a court esgrow. That way your paying your rent, but they wont get the money until issues are resolved by a mediator. Just make sure they are all "housing" issues. You can also send written complaints to the real estate board, housing, as well as Ct Dept of Revenue ( where they are licensed to do business.

The Courant and other blogs have definitely become enthralled with this wave of downtown residents and seem to love Nyberg for this "insight." But, if you think he and College Street get any better when it comes to purchasing (I am specifically referring to The Metropolitan), you're crazy! No body seems to be asking why the units are under constant deposit and subsequent withdrawal and, after 2 years, they still remain under 50% occupancy! Lack of business sense, poor construction, and a team of incompetence. Sorry, but you cant blame all of it on the market!! Nyberg and his posse need to ship out.
