I lived in Clemens Place for a year while going to the University of Hartford. I was disappointed with the organization of the majority of the staff. I found the leasing staff to be organized and helpful. However, the resident services staff, accounting staff, and security people were very out to lunch.

After moving in I realized that the floor in the bathroom was rotten. The maintanence people discovered it, but did nothing about it. I also didn?t realize that an ambulance service based their operations from across the street.

Parking is very difficult to find. Many times I had to park far from my building late at night, which I found to be very scary. Despite the fact that my roomate and I each had a car, we could only have one parking spot next to the building. The other car had to go far across the street.

Several times I called security to stop the residents downstairs from blasting their rap music at 3:00am. The music shook the entire apartment. Usually nothing was done. If security did come, they told the noisy residents which one of their neighbors made the call (that would be me). Several minutes after security would leave, the residents would come banging on my door at 3:30am.

The billing department is very disorganized. Even though I always paid my rent on time, I frequently received bills that included late fees. I had to call repeatedly about receiving my security deposit after moving out. In fact, I still don?t have it.

Please be careful about this place. I?m sure others have had better experiences than I. I may just have a case of bad luck. Good luck.
