I paid around $560/Month for 1BR back in 1996-98. Lived in two different buildings and the quality differed. So go check out the exact location before you sign the lease!!! This review site did not exist then so I am happy to post my experience there today.
Overall experience is not bad though safety is always a concern in Hartford. The noise from ambulance and fire engin were there almost every day. A lot of street people visited dumpsters regularily, but they were not harmful from my experience.
Someone from the management must have co-op ed with car towing company that takes residence's car (if you forget to put on the sticker on the first day you move in... happen more than twice from what I witnessed)
away for ransom. Why I say "ransom" instead of fine because they asked for $80, "cash only" and no eligible receit. If you dare to question anything, there are a gain of more than 10 young men surrounding your car when you try to get your car back. You don't even get a chance to stepped in their so-called office.
The location is close to Mark Twain's house. Very Historical. My unit was in a 1920s building. The management is quite friendly then. Hallway is terrible though in some buildings; too dark and curvy... so choose a bright location is a must.
