I lived in clemens place as a single female college student for a year and a half and i had a fine experience. I moved out because it was a little too expensive for a college student but if i had a good job i would have stayed. I paid $705/month for a very small one bedroom but it was cozy and the bedroom was huge and comfortable. Anytime I had a problem with something in the apartment they took care of it the same day i reported it. They were nice to me. I might have had a few too many recurring problems, like a closet door coming off the hinges but they were very attentive in fixing it. Yes the hallways can smell from other people's cooking but you have to blame the people from other cultures for that if you have a problem...management tries to get the point across to vent your apartment if you are cooking heavy like that. And there is a huge rodent problem on the grounds because it's hartford and because of the dumpsters. but it is gross when you are walking home from the parking lot at night and rats are running across your path. and it is scary when you come home at 3 in the morning and walk to your apartment from the parking lot cause it's kind of far but there is always security patrolling and they are nice. Sometimes you don't see them real late at night though. Lastly, they have a nice little gym with sufficient equipment and it did the job for me but it shouldn't cost extra to use it. (it's not that impressive). but there are tennis courts and a track to run on at the high school right next to the apartments. I would probably not live here again because i don't like hartford but it's a nice place to start out in if you like the city. The atmosphere is very serene and quaint compared to other apartments.
