A nice place to live, for a while.

Maybe the last reviewer lives in a different building from me, clemens place has many.. But in the one I'm in, there's not really much noise to complain about, maybe once in a while someones door slamming when they go in the apartment, but otherwise it's been a consistently acceptable place to live. Street parking is a fickle thing, and yes, many people do take spots for a while, but you can call security from 4pm to 8am and have them meet you at the security office for a guest pass.. And I've done this perhaps two dozen times.. They always show up within 5 minutes. During the day, you just go to the main office and they give you a pass. No hassles, and the guest parking spaces are pretty centrally located. Problems with breakins and theft almost always occur on neighboring sidestreets, where there aren't cameras and security patrols. The thieves know where to hit, and if you know where it's not safe, you will be ok. Avoid lorraine street, and you'll be just fine. Maintenance has always been very responsive, the snow removal and hallway maint. is great, there are incentives for re-signing a lease, and very flexible terms if you wish to move out.. You only have to agree to let them show your apartment, pay 200 bucks, and thats it.. no huge penalties or whatever, like some other places. The gym is another point of the review I take issue with. It's got modern equipment, several TV's, clean facilities, very nice. The bathroom is even kept very clean. Same with the laundry rooms. The staff is ALWAYS friendly, in fact, during the past winter, someone who was just visiting me got stuck in a snow drift while parked on the STREET (!!) and two staff members brought over sand, pushed on the car, and helped him get unstuck.. and refused to be tipped! ... I suppose it's possible that the last reviewer lived in a bad building, maybe a section 8 one down by taco bell, but what I've seen in my 2 years at Clemens Place has been nothing but a great experience. There are numerous flower beds, sculptures, planters hanging from the lightpoles, etc etc.. One complaint might be that once in a while a gate at the end of Owen street is left open, allowing public access to the parking lot.. Haven't had a problem so far, tho. Now, I'll read the rest of the reviews.. Hopefully I won't need to post an immediate followup refuting other negative claims..
And no, I don't work for them... Email me at benallen525@hotmail.com if you really doubt me..
