with noise as out-of -control in this neighborhood from snow removal, fire engines, etc it is hard to keep the aprtments quiet. I am sure the management could find a way to work with the corporate neighbors that send out heavy rigs to do snow removal at 2 AM every time it snows an inch, but they havent yet. Noise will be the main reason for my moving from here. Impossible to sleep anytime it snows! That said, the aprtments themselves are beautiful, and the maintaniance staff helpful, curteous. The management has to get on board wtih making the neighborhood one that is safe and desireable to live in...an easy first step would be to get snow removal done at a reasobale hour. Otherwise, this neighborhood is gonna keep falling further downhill, if we "responsible tenants" keep fleeing from this horrible and hostile city.

Ok...I know this posting is old, but I just have to comment on the complaint. I of course understand that noise is certainly an issue, but to suggest that the apartment management control the weather AND the city services that keep the streets clear and safe for us is just a little bit over the top. Even if this person is speaking of private companies who have hired private contractors to clean up their parking lots after snow...ummm...hello...isn't that still a city ordinance and even if it isn't...I would think that making sure people can park their vehicles would be a priority. As far as snow removal at a reasonable hour? Are we again suggesting that the management control mother nature? And is this person also suggesting that the best time to perform clean up is what? During rush hour? Or how about 10:00AM...does that work for you?

Yes.. I agree. The person who posted the comments above obviously didn't read it over before posting. Usually in a city setting (ie. Downtown ANYWHERE).. you'll experience noise (from outside of the building) that's a given (you live near a hospital you'll hear ambulances.. near a fire station, you'll hear fire trucks..). Certain things are to be expected, it's give and take. I visited the building and I'm actually impressed that anywhere on Garden Street in Hartford is that clean and professional in appearance (beyond that I cannot say as I have yet to even sign a lease). Just doing my research and thought I'd chime in.
