I really cant understand all the negative reviews. I have been here for over six years and I have rented in plenty of other places in hartford before. first of all, the management staff is the best ever. they are so understanding and HUMAN. how can anyone say they dont like them, maybe if you pay ontime and stop asking ridiculous requests you might like them. Dont forget its a business!! of course you have to pay for the gym, if you dont want to pay to use the fitness center, then go pay ballys or planet fitness the money, and its more!! Second, I have been late with the rent two times and they were totally cool about it. and no late fees, becuase i told them in advance i was going to be late and its not a frequent thing. try telling the phone company your going to be late and see what happens, they penalize you. thirdly, i have heard that a few cars got broken into... its hartford people get serious. my girlfriend lives in west hartford and she was attacked by some pyscho going to front door! These things happen in america, and worse things happen in iraq! I never had a problem with my personal car, but i do have an alarm ($100 at pep boys). and my last comment is on the hot water. truthfully, in six years the hot water wasnt working one weekend only! the office staff said they were waiting on a part, and it seemed pretty reasonable, although I did shower at my girlfriends place, and i could understand the anger. if there was ever an issue with the water before that, it wasnt more than a few hours, and i think that was for repairs or something.
overall, this place ranks better than most.
there are some downsides, rent is getting expensive, managment is asking $800 for a one bedroom now!, also the office hours are odd, for sure. although i usually send them an email and it works. Most of the other tenants are great people, sometimes the indian cooking is overwhelming, but i have smelled seafood cooking that was way worse. I guess its good to have diversity here!

There are quite a few bad reviews and some of the things people have complained about I have luckily not experienced. However, I do have quite a few problems with your review. Your reivew makes this place seem amazing and I'm guessing it's because you probably work here. First, many gyms in apartment buildings are included (Park Place Towers, for instance). I told management months ago that the elliptical machine didn't work and it has yet to fixed. Second, having the pool only open frrom 10-4 during the summer is the silliest thing ever. Most people work during then so what is the point to having a pool. Plus that should be included, not cost extra. The management seems a bit intimidating to confront. The bottom dryers in the laundry room do not dry very well. Paying $50 a month for parking a second car is absolutely ridiculous and for the love of god please start salting the parking lot in the winter. It is very slippery and dangerous. I know this may seem like a giant rant of complaints and I understand that this is a business, but being in a business, you need to actually show that you care about your customers and it does not seem like you do. If you want happy tenants, maybe try sending out surveys on what is good and what may need improvements. It's just a suggestion.
