Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
Before i moved in 7 months ago i read all of these reviews and was honestly scared-- i don't want to jinx myself, but it's been great living here-- yes, moving in was a pain in the a**-- i live in one of the top floors and my queen size box spring did not fit in the elevator so we had to carry it up 11 flights of stairs. -- but everything else has been great.
yes, you're car is likely to get broken into if you leave stacks of CDs or money or GPS's or other valuables laying out in plain sight- it's the same with any city apartment though, don't be stupid and your car won't be broken into. Also, I don't know if there was a problem in the past, but there is PLENTY of parking.
The apartments are a great size and in a great condition for how much you pay-- the maintenance is unbelievably helpful, and although I have not talked to all of the people in the leasing office, Demetrios has been more than helpful as well-- Every time there is a problem or I have a question I email him that night and someone comes to help the very next morning.I don't know if there was a problem in the past, but they are great now...
Noise/Safety/Grounds-- you are in the city of Hartford-- take what people say with a grain of salt-- if you do not want any street noise, you have to live way outside the city. Regarding the apartment itself, the walls are soooo thick here i don't even know if my neighbors are male or female because i've never heard them--
The heating is unreal. They pay for it, and even when you don't turn it on it's like 70-75 in the winter. it is sooo nice, i personally love being warm so it's been a great surprise this winter
I think that's it... i just had to say something, because these reviews make it look so bad when it is not at all. everyone i've talked to is pretty pleased with living here, and it's only as dangerous as you make it so don't be dumb...
