I loved the apt and the weekend nightlife

I lived here for a year and loved it. Right in the entertainment district near bars, restaurants, and the Civic Center. Front building is actually above some popular Htfd bars & is probably pretty noisy from bands & DJs, and esp. when the Harleys go by. Back building is quieter - enough so that the nice older lady next door knocked once and asked me to turn down the Simpsons on TV. Htfd is pretty dead weekdays and on Sunday, and this area can be like a ghost town. Parking is expensive (prob. near $100 a month now in 2002). Almost-24-hour pizza/breakfast joint is right on your doorstep. Decent security with gates and buzzers. Management was nice but has changed since then. If I was 21 and single and working near Hartford, there is no place else I'd rather live. I didn't do laundry here (took it to cleaner on Park Street) so can't comment on facilities.
