Thrilled to be back here

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008
I rented my first apartment here back in 2000. I lived here for two years and then bought a house - due to hard times we had to sell. After moving out of the house we lived in GMH and although loved it, could not afford the $1450 for monthly rent after a year and a half. When looking for a new apartment I could not wait to come back here. I had to persuade my now boyfriend to even look here because he claimed it looked "ghetto". This is the farthest thing from the truth! When Alice showed us the model apartment, thankfully, he liked it. The rent is $835. $835! Amazing for an 850 sq ft apartment anywhere in SE CT, unless you want to live in New London. We have been here now for a month and love it. If you want quiet, this is the place for you. You are in a true country setting. The heat is electric and there is a thermostat in every room. The living room is huge - we have two full size couches and a love seat in there and an entertainment center and there is still plenty of room. The only issues I have with the apartment are the size of the stove and bathroom. Thankfully I don't cook a lot, so having an apartment size stove is not all that bad. The bathroom could be bigger, but it has been redone since I lived here last, and the vanity and lights above the mirror are really nice as well as the tile on the floor. The huge selling point about Fox Run - they accept dogs up to 80 pounds! They are very pet-friendly here. The people that live here seem really friendly. Alice and Shawn, the property manager are great. Shawn has been here a long time, as has Alice. They are very knowledgable and understanding. I would definately recommend Fox Run to anyone, especially dog lovers.
