Where do I begin' There's so much. Here's a detailed list for you: large amounts of green, black, and red mold growing in the apartment that won't go away (the landlord suggested that we get a dehumidifier instead of offering to rectify the situation - dehumidifiers won't help because the mold gets inside the walls and resists all anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal treatments - it just comes right back), mice (droppings in drawers and food in cabinets chewed up), very bad odor that cannot be removed regardless of Lysol, candles, etc., (clothes acquire smell of the apartment and sugar in secure container smells urine-like due to odor of apartment or airborne mold), drafty and cold walls due to inadequate insultation, electric heat doesn't keep apartment warm on cold days (expect close to $200 per month for energy bills), sore throat due to mold, basement has no heat and is not suitable for storage unless you desire your belongings to grow mold and smell forever, plowing terrible in winter (a literal skating rink with layers of unremoved snow and ice), community dryer takes several cycles to barely dry clothing (we had to buy drying racks instead), loss of belongings due to mold (had to throw a lot out), out-of-pocket expenses for Lysol, deodorizers, etc., unupdated apartments that were built in the 1970's and have not been changed, an inconsiderate landlord who just wants to take your money without regard to quality (or lack thereof) of apartments, large red spots of mold on shower curtain when we moved in (had to buy a new one), too expensive for what it's worth ($600 for a one-bedroom unit - mold included!).
