yes, we should all leave the apartment as when we moved in, except for the normal "wear and tear" which is acceptable i believe if you check your housing laws. but apparently trying to keep making a buck off all the tenants that leave by "picking apart" EVERYTHING in the apartment is not right, ESPECIALLY when management and maintenance wasn't there for the move-in inspections!!!!!!!!!!
