I have to disagree with most of the negative comments. I have lived in the Velvet Mills since February. Yes I have had some issues, all that have been resolved by the "new" Management." Most of you complain about the thin walls, garbage, smell, bugs, etc. Well if you residents cleaned up after yourselves and acted as Adults and not College Kids, we wouldn't have these issues. There have been times where I have seen some of you residents leaving beer cans, cigarette buts,and garbage in the hallways, yet you are some of the ones complaining about the mess and smell.

As for the noise, well I do agree that the walls are thin, but there is normal noise and excessive noise. Then there are excessive "Kids" adults in this complex that think this is a college dorm and can have parties with 50-100 people in their apartments. Not to mention having underage girls and boys running down the hallways intoxicated. Maybe if you respected yourselves, you could maybe respect others. This is an apartment complex not only YOUR HOME!! Myself I am 28, if you cant respect me, respect the babies, handicapped and elderly living here. Respect them if no one else. This could be your Grandparents, kids, family. Management does their best to rectify this issue, but if they don't know, how do you expect them to fix it!!!

As for us adults, if we have issues, take care of it. If you see some of the above action let management know, or try to respectively ask the disrespectful resident not to do what they are doing. I have had to call the manchester P.D. and they were there within 5 minutes of my call. Management also did resolve the issue. IF they are unaware of the issues how can they be resolved. TELL THEM!!! If you treat them with respect, it will be returned. If you treat them like some idiot and disrespect them by yelling, demanding and screaming, you deserve what you get. NOTHING!!!

My overall experience with Management has been positive. Anytime I had a question or issue, they have either rectified the problem or informed me of another solution.
I do have a bit of advice and that is

1. to closely look at the residents they do rent to. (I know you cant discriminate against young adults) Have them sign a releasal form for Arrest Records Check..Do a records check...That will tell you if you are letting trouble in!!!
2. get better security (Cameras, lighting, even have a(permanent)night manager on duty.

Other than that I have a positive experience with the Velvet Mills Complex and Staff. I have met some really nice people and yet some ignorant, disrespectful kids....They will learn some day!!!! I have lived in a few complexes and I would rate this one higher than the others.
