Dont even consider it. My husband and I had to rent for one year while our house was being finished. Well this place is a nightmare. You think to your self I am only renting for a year how much money would we actually waste. Well 3 and 4 hundred dollar electric bills are correct. On top of the $1000 rent...Upon moving out, we told the staff our house is ready early and gave them over 2 months notice we would be moving out a month early. Well instead of the security deposit, we got a bill for the last months rent, $150 bill to clean one of our tubs (we are clean people), $250 bill for a pet odor (we didnt have any pets and we steam cleaned the carpets), $75 bill for this "letter" to be written, minus our deposit, they still want almost $700. we only lived there for a year! Needless to say we did not pay them anything. This company rips people off and will make up anything for a buck

i have lived here for over a year, and have not experienced any problems with the office. It's been my view that anyone who gets a charge from the office obviously has done something to get that charge. As far as the revolving door, the same people have been here since I moved in and I couldn't be happier with them. Maybe you had issues with past employees, but it's exactly what it is-the past.

It's one thing to speak an opinion, it's another to start throwing insults like you're on a playground. I was at that "pitiful" bbq this year, and walked away with a really great gift certificate to Hops. That was only one of the raffles. Come to think of it, it wasn't even a raffle-we didn't have to pay for any of it! You may have had your experience but mine has been great. It sounds like you're just a miserable person in general, and nothing will ever make you happy. Get over it, and move on.

If you think these people in the office are great -- think again!! They like to believe that by throwing a pitiful little BBQ that it makes up for all of the injustices! I had a water leak - called daily for a week - and had no response! How would you like YOUR items ruined by their negligence?? Im taking them to court for the ruined item and then some! THEIVES, LIARS, LOSERS!! Velvet Mill sucks donkey B-lls!

I have since moved on from my unhappy experience there and like I've said many times-until you run into a situation like these people are talking about-you'll never understand. I was there for 2 years and had MANY problems. Things are always great for the first year or so...from my perspective. That's how it was for us...but it turned HORRIBLE when we had a water leak which ruined our master bedroom-furniture, carpet, bed, etc. and nothing was done to help us...as in fixing the problem or helping to repair what was damaged. So please-do not tell people they are wrong in saying their bad experiences. If you had one yourself-you would understand. I've been on boths sides and I completely understand the hostility.

All I am saying is that the negativity coming from some people is beyond hostile. As I said in my previous message, go ahead and speak your opinions, but save the name calling and the personal attacks for the playground. Everyone living here are all adults, and should behave as one. I have lived here for a year, and also experienced a leak in my home (top floor). As soon as I addressed it to the office, they contacted someone to come in and repair the problem quickly and efficiently. A leak is not a good thing no matter what, but things happen, and it's the corrective measures that are taken that prove who you're dealing with. The people in the office are doing their jobs to the best of their ability, and have a responsibility to the company and to their residents, as you have that same responsibility at your job. I'm tired of reading some postings that seem to take opinion to the next level. Good luck to you wherever you went, because I've been to other places and have received far worse treatment. Nothing is ever 100% perfect, and it has been proven to me at least on my end of things that the girls in the office do try their best. It is too bad you had a bad experience, because you could have truly enjoyed a nice home and smiled a little more. Again Good Luck.
