We have lived here for about 6 mos.just moved from out of state...ok so the building looks kinda cool and is historic and all...has some cool architectual features...that sabout it..... and the building ALSO is always filthy,there are kids running around like crazy,swearing breaking things running around....no one seems to care no matter how much you complain
....THIN WALLS, not the safest area,there are always people having parties too loud,this is the first time in the last 5 mos. that most of the washers and dryers are functioning,the "heated" pool is FREEEEEEZING always, the sauna is STIll not working. the management SUCKS!!!!
there was a naked guy walking around in the hallway the other night...(background check my ass......) kids rollerbalding in the parking garage ,jumping out and scaring people in the already CREEPY parking garage,the only thing I can say is the mantience man that did come and fix stuff at our place was really nice and did a good job..oh and to tp it off our air condidtinior ....we jsut tried to turn it on ...guess what it doesnt work.....that should take a month to get someone up to fix it.....oh and the blinds when we moved in were covered in mysterious substances''''''''' GROSSSSSS!they cam into our apartment numerous times without any notice...and we SIGNED an AGREEMENT that we would be notified ...thanks jerks!
sooooo not worth the $$$$
we are moving asap.

i've lived in velvet mill for a few years now. the place is great. you definitely can't go by what that guy said. in fact i'm pretty sure i know who that resident is. the guy is crazy. anyways, clocktower & velvet mill have some really cool apartments. i'm not just sayin that because i live here. lot of character. check them out for yourself if you don't believe me. maintenance is always quick to respond -- don't have to wait weeks to get things fixed like some other places. leasing staff and management are great too. you'll enjoy living here.

While it's true that the walls are a bit thin, I don't think that's uncommon in apartments. In our experience the maintenance staff has consistently responded the same day to our requests, and the management has always been helpful. We've found an inexpensive noise cancelling device drowns out most neighbor noises.
