Building management is definitely lazy and inept.

The property is continually in a state of disrepair, and isn't secured by any means. Most of the locked entrances can be forced with a simple shoulder. When an issue with a entrance not locking was brought to building management's attention, it still took two months to repair.

There are also frequently disturbances with unruly tenants. We recently had an incident where there was a fire extinguisher removed from the wall, and used in an attempt to break into an apartment. When the extinguisher discharged, building management didn't even act to clean up the chemical from the extinguisher.

The machines in the laundry rooms are owned and maintained by a third party, and are frequently in disrepair. The parking garage is in a state of disrepair and is definitely not secured, despite the illusion.

All in all, Konover Residential is nothing more than glorified slum lords with this property.

I'd have to agree... I've lived in the complex since 2002. My bike was stolen out of the 'secure' parking garage, and several items I've hung on my apartment door have been stolen or damaged (it happened again this weekend... drunks...). The building has so much potential, and it used to be "the place to rent." No more... So sad...

It is such a shame that a historic building with such beauty and grace has been turned over to the hands of people who only care about one thing, money from the tenants. The office staff is horrific to deal with, the cleaning crew might as well not come. Maintenance is not bad to deal with it is just getting the rental staff to advise them of a problem.

That is one thing, the maintenance staff are nice and helpful. I think they just get too much of a back log because the property manager can't manage the property. Does she even leave the office?
