I lived at the Yarn Mill for a little over 5 years. I actually lived in two different units during this time in the Yarn Mill. Before moving in I was aware this was a renovated factory apartment building and the walls would be thin like others have said. They should realize these things before deciding to move in. I had a few experiences dealing with the Brophy Ahern Dev. Manager Grace & the maintanance staff during my stay. I found that when I spoke with them in a professional and courteous manner regardless of the issue it was returned right back to me the same way, very pleasant to talk with. Any problems were generally taken care of ASAP. I met several of my neighbors which made living there even more pleasurable and made long lasting friendships. I think alot of people there were afraid to meet their neighbors which gave them that uncomfortable feeling of living in a larger building. Security issues were 98% the tenants fault for letting anybody in, blocking doors open or not caring about there neighbors vehicles enough to keep an eye open as you would if you lived in a single family home. I cleaned my apartment as agreed in the lease when I moved and did in fact receive my full security deposit back without a problem. These people who had problems with that probably left a huge mess or damage ( I have seen the mess some had left ) With all that said I must say I miss living there and would strongly reccomend the Yarn Mill to anyone, though I love my new house! Just remember it is a renovated factory apartment building and there are some things to get used too. Say Hi to your new neighbors! You may become good friends.
