So I've been at Weaver for almost a year, and that is a year too long. I've had my car broken into and a radio stolen, then the whole car was stolen, and when I recovered it and put it back again, an attempt to steal it was made again!
I live in a constant constuction zone, almost every 2 weeks they are in my apartment for something, new windows, some sort of inspection, painting. The best had to be the washer and dryer installation. At first I was really excited, until I found out that I was only going to be given 12 hours notice to have EVERYTHING out of my bedroom closet so that they could do the work. I was promissed it would only take at most 2 weeks. 5 weeks later, still no washer and dryer, but I did have a nice hole in the wall of my closet. Not to worry though, they will call every day before they enter the apartment to do thier work, YEAH, RIGHT! Many times my fiance would get out of the shower to find workers in the apartment before 8am!
The walls also leave something to be desired. My neighbors like to have heated discussions at insane hours of the morning and slam doors, and could care less who it may inconvienience. I can hear almost anything to goes on either side of me, and below my apartment.
I must say though, I have had relatively no problems with the people I see in the halls on a day-to-day basis, most hold doors, and the elevator. That is when the elevators work!
The general renovations are a little give and take. The new exercise room is great when it's open, but the doors are a color brown better found in a toilet, and the new carpeting is not nearly as nice as what they just removed. When they painted the doors to each apartment, they only did what you can see when the door is closed, so the doors were painted shut, and have a stripe of the only color where the door meets the wall.
At least all of the doors finally lock, it only took 10 months to get to that.....
