I would not recommend any one move here. Bad staff and bad building.

There are two issues that I have had as a renter for two years, one under Brophy and one under Tarragon. The first major issue is the people in the front office. They are irresponsible and rude. We have been signed under the Tarragon lease for almost a year and we have never received a copy of our lease. The people in the front office could care less. We also had an issue with the new pet policy under Tarragon. Under Brophy, pets were allowed as long as you informed the office and paid a fee. When I explained that we had purchased our pet under the old lease, the office employee cut me off and told me "I worked here under Brophy and we never allowed dogs." When I asked her to show me where it stated that in the old lease, she retrieved our old copy and was only able to show that we had never filed the paper work, not that they never allowed dogs. We had never filed the paper work because when we called the office after purchasing the dog, the employee we spoke to told us not to worry about it. I don't know if the employee was setting us up or if they did not want to bother with the paper work.
The second issue is our building. I cannot speak for the Weaver Mill, but I can tell you living in the Yarn Mill has been anything but enjoyable. With 14' high ceilings and 95-year-old window frames, winter in these apartments is very cold. The old walls do little to keep in the heat or block out sounds coming from other units. We were one of the unlucky ones who had people playing loud music and staying up late above us, yes, but there were other sounds that could be heard. When tenants in adjacent units ran their water or used the toilet (yes it is what you are thinking) it was clearly audible in our apartment. We also have constantly had problems with the plumbing and insect infestation (ants, roaches, and crickets).
Finally, and this may just be my opinion, but the neighborhood is going downhill. While walking around the area my wife was repeatedly verbally assaulted by gangs of young men to the point where she felt unsafe to go out in the parking lot (which is not consistently lit) at night alone. I have repeatedly left for work in the morning and seen people walking through the parking lot and digging through the dumpsters. Several cars have had their license plates stolen, and a few have been vandalized. Do not waste your time even looking at these apartments, you will not be happy here.
