I am tired of reading all this positive reviews, telling people to get used to what goes on at Weaver because what do you expect for apartment living. Well I live in a great apartment right now, with fantastic landlords and maintenance people, respectful neighbors and safety. And it's cheaper. I don't believe in "you get what you pay for" - you should get what you deserve, and no one deserves to be treated badly by the management or feel unsafe walking to their cars.
I lived at Weaver under both management companies... and I was disgusted by both. When I first signed my lease I was swayed by the pleasant office staff, the cheap cost, the enormous space and insane amount of closet space. All that pleasantness wore off quickly. My AC and stove were not working on the first day I moved in (8/1) and weren't fixed for six weeks - it wasn't pleasant sweating away and having to eat take out often. I had loud neighbors on both sides of me and a band living above me - they enjoyed practicing at 2 am. Nothing was done when I called to complain. My car was never broken into, but I did walk out to it one morning and the entire front of my car had been smashed into - no note or anything. And of course the management had no way of helping in that situation. I woke up one night to a bat flying around my apartment - I was screaming my head off, but no neighbors assisted. And when I called management their response was "it happens." Gross. The new management took over and I was hopeful. Again I was deceived. At this point, I had new neighbors above me, ones who held a church service in their apartment each Sunday morning from 7am until noon. No joke. They crammed over 50 people into the apartment. My complaints went unreceived - in fact, at one point, when I banged on the ceiling, the neighbors called to complain about ME and I was spoken to about by the property manager. My toliet broke - took them three days to fix it, so I obviously had to stay somewhere else. I had had enough but wasn't about to pay the fee associated with breaking the lease, so I only showed up to pick up my mail (which by the way, was often stolen because the mailman wouldn't always lock up the boxes). When I did contact the office about not resigning my lease, they attempted to "keep me" - offering to paint, steam the rugs, not raise the rent. I said no thanks. They didn't enjoy that - and kept my security deposit saying I had caused too much damage. I just laughed since they gutted the place the day after I left to refurbish it and charge $200 more.
Find someplace else to rent from. You deserve to be treated with respect.

Funny about the security deposit, i barely stayed in my apartment at all, in fact it was spotless, and i got sued by Brophy Ahern stating that I caused damamge to the blinds. I had complained about the blinds from the day I moved in. They were already damamged and I kept asking for new ones. I was told to wait because they were ordering more, then i was told they were too expensive to replace.

Oh no! One of my blinds fell down, do you think they'll sue me? That would be insane! I mean one blind, not the whole fixture.
