Shady Practices and miscommunication

Beware. Please make sure you review all information in lease. We moved in mid-year and took over another tenant's lease. The place was filty when we moved in and we were charged for fixing the tiles in the already very tiny bathroom. The pipes were always backing up in the kitchen and bathroom. It required us to do some work on the pipes ourself even after calling maintanence several times.
We notified the apartment manager that we would be moving out and stapled. There was no followup on their end and we were slapped with an improper vacation fee of $800.
Also, moving in and out of the place is very difficult. Everwhere requires going up or down stairs. So if you are in need of handicap accessable entrances and exits, do you not move here.
The walls are paper thin and you can hear all that is going on the right and left of your apartment. We all knew that each of us were watching American Idol. It was almost comical every TUesday night because we could hear both of our neighbors listening to the television show.
Not worth hassle to move in and out. And really not worth the money.
