Terrible Management Company

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I lived in the Yarn Building for one year. The noise is terrible. I realize that apartment living has some level of noise, but you can hear EVERYTHING your neighbors do and say. I found it difficult to sleep some nights if my neighbors had people over. I have a very low opinion of the management company as well. I had bats in my apartment because they do not do preventative maintenenance on the outside of the building. I found out that they had this problem in other apartments, but did not seal the entire building as a result. The management office handled the situation horribly. I have never experienced such poor customer service before. The property manager at the time was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I also sent letters to the regional manager and the regional vice president of the company and they never responded to me. Obviously, the poor customer service is a company-wide problem. I could go on endlessly about the problems and issues I had in the year that I lived in the Yarn Building, but I won't. If you are looking for an apartment in the Manchester area, I strongly suggest that you do not sign a lease with The Lofts at the Mills. The apartments look great when you first see them with the huge windows and open floor plan, but the good things end there. I read reviews like this when I was looking for a new apartment, and I dismissed the negative ones thinking that there are always a few people who have a bad experience. I wish I had listened to the negative reviews a little more, and I hope you do too. Best of luck in finding a nice apartment. Avoid The Lofts at the Mills!
