I really enjoyed living at Ribbon Mills. It was a shame to move but I had to because it got hard crossing the river every morning due to my job.
Patty was wonderful gettig us settled in. Very pleasant, welcoming, and very friendly. Maintence was done promptly as well. My smoke detector battery was dying and it started "chirping" but with the high celings, there was no way I could change the battery myself. I spent the night somewhere else, put a request in to have it fixed and the very next day, it was fixed. I just felt bad that the neighbors had to listen to the "chiping" all night.
The walls are a bit thin though. My neighbor loved to listen to jazz music (luckily I like jazz, LOL). And from the bathroom, we could hear activity in the bathroom above us loud and clear, like we can hear the tennants blowing their nose, flushing the toilet, etc. But otherwise, the units are very clean and well-kept. Heat and hot water are included which was a huge plus! The 20-foot windows were great...lots of light and added charm to unit.
I really enjoyed living in a historic building. It was charming and the tennants were polite and helpful when the door needed to be held and so forth. The only complaint I have with Ribbon Mills is that little riff-raffs ride their bikes through the parking lot. They have no business being there. So perhaps secured access would solve that issue. Otherwise, this place is a wonderful complex to live in!
