I've been here at the Ribbon Mill now for almost a year, after choosing it based on reviews from this site. The Ribbon Mill is considered one of the better mills - it is smaller and has fewer apartments than most of the others. My apartment had just been freshly carpeted and painted before I moved in. Great high ceilings and huge windows. The building is old and things do go wrong from time to time, but Gary (the maintenance guy) is great and will fix things quickly.

Parking is great - there is always heaps of spots, although sometimes you have to park a long way away if you get back late. Management is also great - Patti (manager) is pleasant and polite and will go out of her way to help you.

As far as apartment living goes, it is great. You only rarely hear your neighbors, and things are clean and tidy in the common areas (if a little dated). Pets are allowed, and we have had the odd problem with people not picking up after their dogs - but Patti and Gary do all they can to keep this in check, and I'm sure it is still better than many other places.

In summary, I would thoroughly recommend the Ribbon Mill. It is quiet and safe, and the apartments are unique and pleasant to live in... provided you can afford the rent.
