When I first moved in about 6 months ago I thought this place was great, the rent wasnt too bad, it was kind of quiet, and the managment staff was extremely friendly and helpful.... a few minor issues like my carpent was severly worn in several places, and the fact that my apartment was missing a few key things didnt bother me as they were fixed pretty much right away....
However, this place has gotten much much worse over the past few months. The people upstairs have some craziness going on because almost every night they have kids running all over the place like it's a play ground, I think I heard a few of them playing basket ball a few weeks ago. The door on our side of the building has been broken for 3 months, now people just prop it open otherwise no one can get into the building on this side.
Someone on the bottom floor's appartment got broken into, it took MPD 9 hours to respond to the break in call, and managment gave them a hard time about moving to an appt off the gound floor.
Another person's water heater had a sever leak, all they did was rip up the carpet and gave them fans to dry out the mess. They refused to do any further repair until they were out of the unit.
Parking is OK, I havent had a problem I like the idea that if you dont belong and you take a resident spot you get towed, simply because there arent a lot of spots. The grounds are kept well, although mowing at 7:00am is kind of annoying and the lady that vacuumes uses this nasty smelling carpet stuff that makes my nose itch.
Safety.... well I mentioned the door already, anyone can get in here, my gf has even seen some drug activity in the stairwell recently and I did mention the break in. She swears she ears people jiggling the door knob to the unit on occassion.

I too worry about security in this building. The electronic doors with the key FOB is a joke when half the doors propped open or the latches are jammed with pennies. I feel a little safer in my apartment with the metal door frame and deadbolt but I don't trust some of the people I see lurking in the halls and stairwells.
Hopefully though, the smell of curry can drive away would-be-criminals.
I heard that someone's GPS device was stolen out of their car this past winter.
