I have been living here for about 2 years and I am moving out soon because the state of CT sucks and the people here are generally unfriendly.

Positives:
-My apartment was clean and the carpets were in very good condition as well as my appliances.
-I think the staff is very friendly, although I do not really ever need them for anything. They always have a smile when I go to drop off my rent.
-Parking is great. Plentiful parking spots, although there are some inconsiderate people who park in the handicapped areas.
-Very quiet, family-oriented apartment complex. Not too many college kids throwing huge raging parties.
-Well-maintained grounds. Unofortunately, the crews make too much noise, especially with the leaf blowers. I don't understand the purpose of leaf blowers.
-Very safe place. Not much crime.

Negatives:
-The ceilings are very thin. I think my upstairs neighbor is an elephant.
-There are lots of residents who speak very little English. They tend to be anti-social and they are not friendly neighbors. I am the only English-speaking person on my floor.
-There are lots of unsupervised kids running around, especially after the school bus drops them off.
-Idiots who drive recklessly in light of the aforementioned chilren running around.
-Getting in and out of the complex, especially on weekends. With all the mall traffic, it can be a -----.
-Lastly, I think one of my downstairs neighbors is a drug dealer. I often see cars with shady-looking people who appear somewhat lost park here and go into one of the downstairs apartments. After about 5 minutes, they come back to the car and leave. This is really no fault of the Pavilions, but I think it's worth nothing.

I would recommend this place, and hope that the new resident get a better roll of the dice and actually get friendly neighbors who speak English.
