I've lived here about 2 years and I never really had a problem until now. Recently I lost my keys and wanted them to change my locks. I called them and they said that they would take care of it right away. I showed up later to pick up my new set of keys and they said it wasn't done yet because the front desk girl forgot to make it an urgent request. She then called the maintenance people to have it changed right away and they did within the hour. I was happy that they responded so quickly. He told me that rekeying the door was going to cost $25 dollars. Now comes the bad part.
2 days later, I come home and found the locks changed again. Apparently the front desk person didn't bother to cancel the work order even after it was done. I was stuck outside for 30 min with a guest. The maintenance person then came and got me.
I called them the same day and left a message (I was not happy) and I asked for the manager to call me back. Well he didn't call me back, but instead he had someone else call me back to tell me that I was only going to get charged the $25 dollars for th original rekeying of the lock, and sorry for the inconvenience.
5 days later I get a bill for $75 for the lock change. I'm pretty sure they charged me twice. I called the front office, and yes I called pretty much when they were closing, and she was very unwilling to help me out. The girl that I talked to was the same girl that called on the behalf of the manager. She even remembered who I was, but offered no help except to call back and speak to someone else. When I told her that I was upset, she snapped back and said, "Well that's just the way life is." I was quite offended. Instead of trying to help, she told me off. Unbelievably poor rental service. I'm sure at the end, we'll get the monetary problem settled, but the rudeness and poor communication is unacceptable. If you're going to live here, I just hope that you don't run into any problems. Asking management to help will only give you more headaches and grief.
