There have been many complaints about how the garbage dumpsters are always full and overflowing, well... here is a picture
There have been some complaints, including myself, about mold. When we called about this absurd mold and showed management this picture, they came immediately and.... sprayed painted over it' A week later it was back in full force. Here is the picture.
Now, you do not need to see pictures of the dog feces EVERYWHERE. Just imagine if an entire community went outside to poop on the lawn, instead of their bathroom, and didn't clean it up. If you think that sounds gross, just image living there and smelling it, especiallly in the August heat. Have you ever smelled a ton of dog crap on a 90 degree day' Now, I'm not a doctor but, my diagnosis would be that it is really not good for you.
Oh, and the MONTHLY water bill is nearly $60. I know homeowners who pay less than that for a three month bill.
Manchester has many many options for housing, I would STRONGLY reccommend that you do not choose the option of living at the Pavilions.

I live here and I agree that people do not always care about where they live but you can find that anywhere you go. At least management tries by sending out notices. I once lived in a place where they did nothing about it. As for the water, it is in your lease. Sucks but its true. As for the exterminator, I have not had bugs but it is good to know that if I did then at least they have someone to take care of it.

You are very positive to the response the the original person wrote. The mess of this complex I've discovered is a mix of many problems. Yes, people need to give a damn and pick up after their animals. And, you can say "at least management sends out notices" or "at least they have an exterminator".
I've had bugs, if you talk with the exterminator - they (he) will tell you that he is here often - but, not here for PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE like many other apartment complexes. He is here when there is a big problem! (I had to have "bug bombs" put in the walls to kill the huge qty of termites) And, what is worse - I had mice (again, no preventative maintenance) - and, our apt got FLEAS because of the mice!!! (I don't have a dog!!)
If you check with management of the Waterford Commons (which is always on average 97% occupied) they will tell you the amount of PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE they do so that they do not have problems like here. There is also the new complex that just opened and they have so many Preventative options in place -- and even Aspen Woods!!! But here!?
Another thing that I've been told my management, and experienced is that YES - it is our responsibility to pick up after our animals - however, the landscapers should also keep up with the lawns on a weekly basis, which reduces the amount of dog crap. Yes, unfortunately with any Pet Friendly Apartment - Management of these other locations have decided to step forward for those 50% of people who don't pick up after their pets (again Preventative).
Another problem is our management office. The turn over rate is out of control and the we are under 59% occupied. Management does not want to step forward and take any responsibility regarding the bare minimums. There needs to be a strong Manager (Jodi is not) - and there needs to be a larger leasing office to accomodate all the complaints.
If there was 2 people just handling the complaints and customer service for the tenants - the leasing office would defintely increase the satisfaction of the tenants.
As for the garbage issue... Two dumpsters is o.k. -- IF they were emptied on a constant basis - like 2 - 4 times a week! Unfortunately, there is no scheduled pick-up.
By the way, since the dumpsters do not have rat traps (preventative maintenance) - we definately do not want another dumpster! In those two areas - as an honest maintenance person or a few of the people that live near the dumpsters and you will hear about the rats.
