Waterford Commons seems expensive, but not when you consider all that you get. Washer, dryer, storage space, and a carport at no charge. Comparing it to similar complexes (The Pavilions, The Mansions at Hockanum Crossing, Aspen Woods) you get more for the price you pay.

The amenities are a pretty good deal. At $100 per person, $50 additional person, you access to a decent weight room, aerobics, indoor pool, spa, sauna and steam room. Nice.

I'm a picky sleeper. Our apartment is at the end of the building, right next to the highway. The noise was my biggest hesitation to move here. It took me a few weeks to be able to ignore the traffic at night. If you prefer the windows open, the units nearer to the highway are not for you. Many of the buildings down the hill (and the Townhouses) are farther away from the highway and receive little noise.

I enjoy the people who live at Waterford Commons. It is wonderfully diverse. Lots of young couples, old couples and families. I?ve never had any noise problems from our neighbors.

We really like the vaulted ceilings and dormer window in our apartment. It costs more, but really opens up the room. Check it out if you get a chance.

I've been most satisfied with the maintenance. They always arrive the same day and do a great job. The grounds are well kept, but nothing special. The snow removal is impeccable. We?ve been shopping around at other complexes and we realize how good we have it in that respect. I?ve had great success dealing with the management staff. They are pretty on the ball at anticipating and solving problems.

We?re most dissatisfied with the price we have to pay. If you?re looking at high-end apartments, it is a great deal. But we hate having to dish out $100 per year and $25/month for our cat.
