I lived in Celeron for a year and it is the worst place I have ever seen. Just to start, none of the roads are paved and they turn to straight mud in the winter, with huge pot holes and nasty speed bumps. They are built so poorly that they are practically falling down. My walls were filled with badly patched holes and the carpet was burned by cigarettes and only had concrete under it. The front door was off its hinges so we had an inch gap under it letting in the zero degree winter. Also, the maintenance wouldnt shovel the snow outside the doors so we had sheets of ice 6 inches thick up to our door. Our heater was broken for 5 months and the hot water heater ran constantly. My drains in the bathroom and kitchen were constantly clogged and the linoleum floors were permanently stained and rotting at the edges. The whole place smelled like something died in the walls and had squirrels in the walls and ceilings. It was wayyy over priced and they raise the rent every year. Plus, my boyfriend and I both had our apartments broken into and windows broken. The only good thing is that its walking distance from UConn, but it isnt worth living in that crap hole. If you live there during spring weekend, be prepared to clean up garbage and broken beer bottles off your porch and grass for about a week. Plus they stole $700 from me cause my roomate sucked and didnt pay rent. disgusting place.
