Not as bad as it sounds!

I have lived here for almost 5 months now, and have really enjoyed living here. The apartment was nicely renovated, I pay a very reasonable rent, I have never once heard noise coming from a neighboring apartment, and I have yet to have a reason to call for maintenance since everything has been working well since I moved in. I have a 1 bedroom apartment, and have not had an electric bill over $140, even with the price of fuel and everything else going through the roof.
However, I do think the office staff is a little oblivious when it comes to some things in the complex. Two of the washing machines have been broken for 2 or 3 months now, and I have yet to see the Poland Springs water jug by the gym have water in it. Parking close to the building is also tough if you get home past 5 or so in the afternoon. Also, when I moved in, there was a maximum of 25 pounds for dogs. The policy may have changed, but there are boxers, labs, and all sorts of other huge dogs in the community, and no one seems to take notice.
But, the reality is, it is an apartment complex and you are going to have all sorts of neighbors and are going to have to deal with the occasional inconsiderate person no matter where you go. I would recommend Middletown Ridge.
