We were double-charged for replacing the carpet--$200 before we moved in, and $200 when we moved out. And, in addition, a nonrefundable $500 pet fee!! Plus, you have to let them know within 60 days of your lease expiration if you're going to move out!! And if you don't, they will hold you over and illegally raise your rent, then employ strong-arm, harassing tactics to get the money out of you. This place is shady, overpriced, and something to be avoided at all costs.

Here's an idea: read your lease before signing it. It clearly says that you have to give 60 days notice before moving out. And it also says that you have to pay extra if you go past the end of your lease. There is nothing shady about it!
