Northwoods is a SERIOUS disaster. I moved in to a 2-bedroom apartment with my friend in July 2005. Not only have we had serious ANT problems, but we have had a broken dishwasher that the maintenance has supposedly fixed 5 or 6 times. The washer and dryer were awful and finally the dryer had to be replaced.

Our new carpet is awful. The people that installed it were obviously untrained. The linoleum flooring in the bathroom was not cut and installed neatly and now part of it is coming up off of the floor.

Like one of the other reviews stated, my bedroom stays FREEZING in the winter, even if you turn the heat all the way up. I've reported this many times, and they claim to come in and clean the vents, but the problem never improved.

The wood paneling on our cabinets keeps falling off. Some of the doorstops are missing (from the carpet guys''')

Outdoor lighting and parking are HORRIBLE. I've had to walk around the block in order to get to my house. The maintenance guys ZOOM around the complex on Golf Carts, but it seems as though they really have no destination, and are really just bumming around.

The advertisement online that helped me find Northwoods stated that the complex has a whirlpool and other amenities, but this is NOT TRUE. They belong to the complex across the street, which we are supposedly able to use. But who wants to walk that far''' That's ridiculous.

And to top it off....one day I received a very important package with perishable food in it. The office accepted the package from Fed-Ex. I received the slip at 5pm, and headed over to the office because they close at 7pm. When I reached the office, there was a sign saying that they had closed for the day (with no apparent reason). I knocked on the door because people were in the office, and the woman came out and proceeded to SCREAM at me, telling me that the office was CLOSED and that I could NOT have my package. I was irate and wrote a letter to the office stating my outrage. I'm sorry, but if I'm here paying $1250/month PLUS utilities, you have no right to YELL at me, and you could at least be the slightest big accomodating.

NORTHWOODS IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
