I won't say if I recommend this place or not, judge for yourself.
1. Vehicles vandalized at a rate of about 10 per month.
2. Ongoing construction behind the building from August 06 on. Moved in three days before it started. Was never told about it, my apartment faces the construction directly. The field behind my apartment was used as a selling point,nature, deers, etc.
3. Despite stated office hours of at least 5pm M-F, Office frequently closes between 3 and 4 with no explanation. Have often had to wait a week or more to pick up deliveries made to office. Never get a call back from Management if you call after business hours.
4. When my lease was up for renewal I had to call them daily for two weeks asking where my renewal notice was. I did not get it until 3 weeks before my lease was up. Per the lease I signed I have to sign that renewal notice 60 days in advance if I want to vacate without penalty. Original lease from 8-06 to 8-07. In 08-07 lease was renewed until 04-08 with no explanation of why it was less than a year. When I asked was told they had too many leases in August and were trying to make it easier for them. I stated I wanted a 1 year lease, they said too bad. Was told at renewal it would be another 8 month lease, 04-08 however they gave me a 1 year lease, which annoyed me since I was told it would be an 8 month renewal previously. When I asked them what would have happened if I wanted to vacate since they did not provide me with the notice in a timely fashion despite my DAILY PHONE CALLS, they laughed and said good thing you are renewing.
5. The maintenance staff is awesome. They are both friendly and cheerful and work extremely hard. I had a problem with my A/C and they spent hours trying to fix it and when they couldn't ordered a new one for my unit. Time and time again they have never been anything but helpful. No problems with them at all.
6.Heat and hot water are included with the rent. Its really not a bad deal. Heat has always worked great and I've never run out of hot water. Ever. Beats paying utilities in an apartment that is heated by gas.
7.Noise. You hear alot below and above. Heavy walking, vacuuming, shouting. It isn't as bad it sounds. Aim for the top floor if you can.
8. The outer walls of apartments are concrete, it is really difficult to hang things on the walls. Inner walls are normal sheetrock.
9. Laundry facility is clean and just had new washers and dryers put in. 1.50 each washer and dryer.

I am a decent hard working person who was looking into renting an apartment here, but I have a new Honda Civic coupe and this vandalizing warning is puttng me off.
