To be honest, I should have known things would be bad because the neighborhood looked so sketchy.
Here's what went wrong:
1. Our neighbors were drug dealers and because they were on Section 8 there was nothing the landlord could do. I called the cops - drug enforcement division - and they never returned my call.
2. Parking problems.
3. Laundry was too far away and up a set of stairs - a great challenge with a baby and a load of laundry.
4. Food (who knows from where) came up the bathroom sink.
5. The walls were paper thin and I could hear as my neighbor lovingly called her daughters "-----."
6. My son got a very strange rash that only went away when we moved out.
7. The taxes in New Britain (for the car) are so high!! They have an exorbitant mill rate. Really think about this before moving there.
I finally had to walk out on my lease... best move I ever made.
