I'd like to follow up to my 7/8 review. I did file a small claim sue and I did even go to the court for the deposite extortion. I WON the sue. You can go to http://www.jud2.state.ct.us/Small_Claims/ and my case docket number is SCN-8956. The judge wrote the following statement on the final judgement "the manager doesn't know the age and cost of carpet. the manager doesn't have evidence to show the carpet damage". reduce the total from $1600 to $400. Although it's not worth of my time and travel fee to fight for the $400, I decided anyway to fight to the end because it's injustice. The most laughable part was the lawyer tried to settle with me the last minute outside of the court. I refused. Unfortuately, many of Normandy Heights tenants are ripped off, but not many of them complained. I think if more of us complain to the Consumer Protection Office: 165 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106,(860) 566-----, the State will look into this matter. If you don't fight for this (it's YOUR money), it's a free money for the Normandy Heights. By the way, the manager ----- is a liar. She even lied in the court. And the lawyer, Mr. ----, tries his best to threaten you, but no fear, keep in mind, he's only a small real estate lawyer and he's on retention with the company (he doesn't get extra pays if he goes to court for the company). Haha, at least I wasted him the whole morning on 10/4. Feel free to write to me and I will give you all the advice to fight with them.
