I am a student at the Health Center in Farmington, and I chose Pebblebrook because it was close to the campus...plus I only had a few days to decide. I lived there for one year and had no problems; that is, no noise, stolen property, etc. There are some very nice people working in the office.
That said, this place is way overpriced for what you get...if you look elsewhere you can find a similar place for less that is just a bit further from the Farmington area.
The main problems I had with the place were the condition of the interior and the lack of security. First, the interior...we did not get to see our actual apartment before moving in...and when we got inside, we found a 4" diameter dark purple stain on the carpet near the kitchen. No one had told us about it at all. I expected them to replace the carpet, which was already old and worn, but instead they just cut the stained part out and replaced it with carpet from one of the closets. As you can imagine, the small circle of replacement carpet was just as visible as the stain had been, but we had no recourse. How cheap!! Also, the cabinets really need to be replaced.
The security was another issue; I never felt good about letting my wife walk around at night nor did I feel that my car was secure. I talked to several people that had things stolen from their cars or the cars themselves were stolen...it does happen, and if I were a thief, it would be a perfect target because there is absolutely no type of on-site security at all. make sure you always lock your car and keep valuables out of sight!!
The laundry is a rip-off...at $2.60 per load for wash and dry...and the washers and super small too, to add to your expenses.
Pebbleborrk is decent enough if you don't have any other choice, but ry to avoid it if you can find another place.
Oh, and I think that the person that titled their review "great" and gave the place all 5's most likely works for them and doesn't like all the bad reviews.
