Its difficult to recommend staying away versus signing a lease here. The staff is serious (though not courtious as their job ends when people sign the contract-no joking) and the maintenance staff are good, though one guy seems to blame tenants for any problem that he is called for and is not the brightest bulb on the chistmas tree but the staff like him because mainenance is low and the tenants often get billed. Expect the staff to not provide any "breaks" for problems as they will stick to the rules regardless of your length as a tenant. Here, rules are the rules. I saw one tenant who was in the office because his lease of one year was about to end. He did not want to renew but, by the rules, had not provide a certified letter 60 days before the end of his lease that he was not going to renew his lease. Because of this, he had to pay two additional months, even though he was moving out of the state at the end of his lease. The office personel (no name needed) was not pleasant towards him at all and was very sharp tongued towards him by repeating over-and-over "You read your lease at signing and it is your (with attitude) responsibility for following it...Sorry." That guy was pissed off, and I don't blame him.
They are very strict here, such as the other review stated, and told tenants not to let their kids play on the grass or their lease would be terminated. Meanwhile, the noise factor is terrible. College students play their music in an apartment that is very far from ours but is sooooo loud that it wakes my family from their sleep. This occurs several times a week. We got fans to place in all the rooms to try to drown out the noise. The cops have been called probably by the tenants near them, but the noise continues. Plus, finally, there is a bad ant problem here that seems to be undercontrol during the winter only, regardless of them spraying. Finally, for our apartment, we have had electrical problems for over a year and, as a former electrician, I here the worst excuses for why the problem is our problem and not the complex. Ouch.
Summary: If young and you want to make noise, them come here. If you are poor and money is an issue, come here. If you live in a dump and want an upgrade in living conditions, come here. The remainder of you, including those with a child(s), I strongly recommend look elsewhere.
