Not a bad place to live. College kids aren't the problem.

I really can say I've never had a problem with the college people at PebbleBrook. It makes the area a little more dynamic. This was an improvement for me since the last apartment complex I lived in felt like a Nursing Home.
The area I find most frustrating are the large and increasing numbers of Middle Eastern people that are not embracing American culture. They do pack large numbers of people in apartments, the cooking smells leave a lot to be desired, and there have been bed-bug outbreaks in Pebblebrook likely coming from international travel to endemic areas. Other interesting sights include seeing adult middle eastern women wearing their sari's (the big sheet wrap-up dresses), and swimming / wading in the pool. I can only imagine the hygienic issues with that. You'd think it was the River ganges.
I am tolerant of cultural differences to a point, however, when living in America one would think an effort would be made to embrace and integrate into the language, culture, living conditions, etc.
All things considered, I'll take the college students.

you havent been here long enough to really get a taste of the college students. I think most of the "drunk kids" got kicked out or moved out.
it has been pretty good here, now with the students that are here. I"ve been to the pool and never saw what was written. I have been here 4 years. And atleast they speak english to their children when in public and are friendly. Ans if alot of people are in one apartment that is the office's problem.
Now that the siding is almost done, how about new "stuff" inside the apartments. Lowe's contrators can do a good job while the same people live in the apartments to get a major overhaul.

I'm still living here and I had a full summer of interesting and somewhat gross encounters with the Middle Eastern residents in the pool. Also I have killed about 2 daddy long legs spiders per day, on average, since June. I thought with the cold weather they might go away but my boyfriend just got another this morning in our closet. Not a fan...

my roommates and I are considering leasing a 2 bdrm apt here -- we are in our mid 20s and are grad students doing unpaid internships (for 6 mos) in the area so on a budget -- concerns are safety and cleanliness -- also would like friendly neighbors -- is this a match for us or do you have a better suggestion?
