Was good, then became terrible

I used to live at this place in the late 1990s when a lovely husband and wife managed the grounds. It was owned by the LaCava company and they were very responsible. It had a swimming pool and a full time helper. Rent was cheap and the management preferred to keep the apartment empty unless they could get good tenants. Then, after it was sold the new managers were total unresponsive and unsympathetic jerks. They started letting in awful tenants - crimes, domestic violence were the norm. I finally moved out after 5 years and they kept my security deposit with no explanation. I couldn't understand this since the carpet and appliances were very old when I moved in. Definitely a nightmare scenario! Stay a mile away!
