Years at this apartment: 1996 - 1996
I lived here during the summer of 1996. The apartment was hot and had no A/C, but the ceilings were extremely high (12 feet'). The location was half a block to city hall and about 2 blocks from the courthouse. There's a nice restaurant down the block (Town Squire) with the best spaghetti and meatballs ever (only $5!). Too bad there's almost no parking... though they're building a commuter rail station just half a block east. The view I had was so-so, looking eastward at the interstate and Woolsey Square... a south window would give you a nice view of the train station and New Haven harbor, with its occasional oil tankers and such. Management seemed alright, and the interior was modern; don't let the bleak brick exterior fool you. Price was higher than New Haven Towers, without the A/C or parking. Appliances were newer, however, and the tenants seemed a bit yuppy.
