Highest utility Bills EVER

Over all, I am happy living here. However, what we pay for utilities is RIDICULOUS. They seriously need to re-insulate these buldings. The windows don't even shut!
Unless you just moved in, the kitchen and bathroom in your apartment are older than dirt. Whoever was in my apartment before me used VELCRO to shut the kitchen cabinets. Maintenance has since painted over the velcro- why not REMOVE it first''
And don't get me started on maintenace. They all live in the complex which may seem convenient but it isn't. With the way they stare at female residents, you'd think they were plotting to kidnap you or kill you. They have serious starring problems which I encounter every morning when I go out to my car for work. They are now putting new stuff on the vacant apartments. You can bet that every maintenance worker has the new stuff iin their apartments already. New front doors and everything. How about you fix the apartments where the bathroom tiles are falling off the walls' How about you fix the aparments where the toilets won't stop running'
The lady in the office is never there. Don't bother calling the owners in New York because they don't pick up and don't return calls either. Have fun getting your security back when you move out. It can take over 2 months in the summer b/c they are on 'vacation' and stuff like that! It's a pretty substantial security too and usually you need that to move somewhere else.
The super is nice, and will fix things, but only if you make yourself a nuisance. The apartments are pretty nice inside and are roomy. I just wish they would update them.
Snow removal sucks. If one of your neighbors doesn't move their car (which they never do) They go around your section and you won't be plowed. Half the cars here are broken and havent moved for over a year. I feel sorry for anyone who parks near one of them because they probably never get plowed.
The grounds are pretty nice. The parking lot sides are gross but no one really hangs out back there anyways.
It may sound like this place is really bad, but compared to anywhere else in new haven, it's pretty good. If you don't mind living with old stuff, I'd say live here.
