good location, otherwise mediocre

I have lived in the towers for too long.. This is my fourth year, now in Crown Towers (the "nicest") and living here is painful. The best part is the location-- steps to the medical center and law school (not to mention the undergrad campus). The parking is convenient, though expensive (75/month, a lot for new haven). The leasing agents are just horrible people-- they routinely lie to renters about availability of units, make up rents based on how you look (ie two people in the same building will pay up to $300 difference for identical apartments). They will pressure you to sign, even more so than usual leasers. The elevator is broken P of the time, leaving you to wait for a second elevator for up to 10 minutes sometimes... The windows are indeed new and nice, but otherwise the management is mediocre. (They only replaced the windows to save money on heating and a/c). hopefully this update will help with the hideous temperature control-- on hot days, the a/c fails ("central" a/c/ is an exaggeration), on cold days, the heater blows out cold air. The security is severely lax-- all the locks on the entry doors are broken, and despite me and other tenants writing letters, they won't fix them. The bonus- great location. Good parking.
