The reviews on this site last year gave me a lot of trepidation, but I signed my lease anyway and I have been very happy. Someone ought to say that on this website because it's a good place to live! I like the light in my apartment, the ability to control heat/AC, the friendly doormen and the nice hardwood floors and large closets. The kitchen appliances are old (except the new fridge) but you know, I almost signed a lease for a place in East Rock for more money that didn't even have a dishwasher. If it cleans the dishes, does it matter what the dishwasher looks like' The bathroom is more updated, the water is very hot right away with good water pressure, and I have never had a problem getting the maintenance people to fix things right away, like if the faucet leaked. The apartment was nicely repainted when I moved in.
Especially because I work at the hospital, I appreciated the convenient location, and it's nice to have the Walgreen's across the street and the newly redone laundry room in the basement. I have no regrets, and now to get the same apt in Boston I have to pay twice as much in rent!

um, no. but you can post your own negative review if you want. dude, if you want granite countertops and high rent, there are plenty of other buildings in new haven for you. but i was happy in madison towers.
