This place is a classic example of reality being nothing like the brochure. Before we even moved in there were problems. I got a call the day before we were to move in and they were trying to tell us that we couldn't move in because the floor wasn't ready. We already had the moving truck packed and everything. After an hour on the phone we convinced them to let us store our stuff in another apt until ours was ready. While putting our stuff there the manager made sure to tell us that if the rainstorm that was coming through damaged our things that they would not be liable. Thanks! I had to side step dog poop and goose poop every time I came in an out of my apartment, there was trash all over the property, probably because you had to lug your trash bags across the property to throw it out so people just let their bags pile up. When we moved in the screen on the slider kept falling out, and after several calls to the office, they replaced it with another broken one. We ended up leaving it propped up on the wall of the "garden." The hill is extremely slippery during the snowy season, and doesn't get plowed until after everyone leaves for work in the morning, so you get to slide down the hill and pray you don't go up and over the grass into the street, which happened SEVERAL times during my winter there. I called about the problem and got NO response whatsoever. We had one silly little water heater that took up half of the "spacious" closet, that we figured out was serving ours and the apartment above us! As a result if I wanted a shower longer that 10 minutes it was going to be a cold one, and you had to wait at least an hour for the hot water to return. A hot bath was out of the question unless you wanted to BOIL WATER ON THE STOVE!!! The doors to the bathroom wouldn't shut either. The final straw was when they sold the property and decided pets were not allowed, and current tenants with pets had to get rid of them or get out. They didn't even take the time to notify us! I found out by accident at the post office! They had no intention of informing us until we went to renew our lease. This place is now desolate, given that at least 75% of the tenants at the time owned pets-great management decision! If you are thinking of living here just remember you are going to spend your winters slipping down the steep driveway, coming home to a cold shower after which you can pay your $160 heat bill.
