A Very Nice Place to Live

Although I have lived here under one year, I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Whitewood Pond. My apartment is spacious and is reasonable in price, compared to other apartments of the same quality in this area.

There is a large parking lot in the back of the building that always has available spaces for tenants and their guests. I have always been able to park right outside the entrance to my building and have never had a long walk. Since the building is divided into 20 entrances, everyone pretty much parks in the areas of their apartments. We don't have assigned spots.

My apartment has a large bedroom, an alcove off of the hallway which I use as an office, and a combination living room/dining area. The back wall of the living room is entirely windows, with skylights over the windows. The kitchen is VERY small--I would not even call it a galley kitchen; it is more of just a little work area. Since I live on the third floor, I had to run the air conditioner continuously over the summer. Even now that it is winter, I have to run the heat at high temperatures due to the drafts from the windows. I'm not sure if this is typical of all apartments in the building, though.

The building is very quiet and very few children live here due to all apartments being one bedroom. Occasionally, I can hear my neighbors talking or playing their music, but this has never been a big problem, as there are noise regulations stated in the apartment's policies.

The grounds here are very well kept. It seems as though something is always being done to improve the living conditions here. There is a pond in the front of the building that you can see from the living room, and the landscaping is always very attractive. The owners really make it a nice place to live.

I feel very safe living here. Since most of the tenants are professionals, we don't have to worry about college students causing problems on the property. The building is also set far back from the street, so "outsiders" do not have immediate access to it.

Overall, my experience here has been very positive. I would definitely recommend this apartment to other people.
