A Cardboard Box Under a Bridge Would be Better.....

We came across "the pit" as we call it when involved in a corporate move.

The "corporate? rate at $3,500 per month for a one bedroom in need of a fire to improve it, allowed us the opportunity to move to another "non-corporate" apartment.

If this wasn't a temporary situation for us, we would not even care enough to write this review.

Clocktower Close is by far the most overpriced, undervalued embarrassment for an apartment we have ever come across.

The management staff is the worse and a joke. Our toilet doesn't flush completely, but, we have only asked for it to repaired five times now so obviously the Clocktower management - and the parent management company- Lane Company - do not understand the concept of service to the tenant population.

The "extras" at Clocktower include a non-working sauna in the men?s locker room. When I pointed this out to the on-site management (worthless or worse) Lisa, the Sr. Manager told me (a male) ?just use the one in the women?s locker room?. Obviously, UNACCEPTABLE.

Then let?s talk about the rent. We pay $1,500 per month for a one bedroom while others pay $1,300 for the same apartment.

Then there is the parking. We pay $100 per month for one parking space that requires the combination of a shoehorn and the grace of God to get in and out of. By the way - others pay only $25 per month for the same, or better, indoor parking.

As for the indoor parking, the entrance overhead door seldom works so you need to back into the garage through the exit door and hope than someone else isn't trying to leave.

And, since location is everything, when you elect to look out the windows, since the last time they were cleaned when the hat factory was in operation, you have the view of the rear of a commercial storage building.

As for auditory enlightenments, there is plenty to go around. The walls of the apartment are so thin that you hear every sound coming from your neighbors. For those deviates interested, this goes far beyond TV and stereo sounds. Every sound ranging from personal body excretions to the animalistic sounds of feeble attempts at human reproduction are so distinct that we feel as if we were invited as voyeurs.

The only positive thing we have to say about this "pit" is that we are moving out soon...

So, if you are looking at Clocktower Close in lovely Norwalk - get back on the highway and drive away, far away, as quickly as possible.
