my husband and i were one of the first tenants when this building opened. it was originally under a different management co. and there was a distinct improvement when JPI took over. the other reviewers do not lie - it's pricey and there are fees for parking and pets. and yes, the lap pool was a stupid choice - but again, this was the other company's poor decision. i disagree about the noise. depends on who lives above & below you. we only heard our downstairs neighbor when her music was really loud. never heard folks in the halls or stairwells unless we were standing near the door. only heard upstairs when they were being especially "clompy." we had a baby while living there who screamed his head off the first 3 months & neighbors claimed they never heard him (thankfully for them, it was winter & the windows were closed, which i'm sure helped!). most importantly though, justin, mike, and steve are about the nicest team you could ask for. extremely responsive and thoughtful and do whatever they can to accommodate your needs. their work is quick, quality, and clean. we just moved into a similar managed building in the boston area and now realize some significant things that we took for granted at jefferson. for example, the appliances are really top of the line. oh, except for the A/C - it is terrible and highly inefficient - a real problem if you're on the parking lot side (afternoon sun - think greenhouse effect!). except for the kitchen counters (which i understand they are slowly replacing), all the fixtures, doors, carpet etc. are high quality as well. we found it to be well insulated for noise, especially compared to where we are now. the location can't be beat if you're a city person stuck in fairfield county. i don't know of anywhere else in the county we could have made it work as a 1-car family, walked to train for NYC, walk to restaurants, etc. my husband works from home and we had a terrific set up in the 1-BR den, plenty of space pre-baby. closet space depends on the unit - we had an amazingly huge walk-in in ours. we had wonderful neighbors too - especially if you have a dog, this is a delightful place to live - tons of good walks & loads of doggie pals! it started out very young and hedge-fund heavy, but there's a bit more of a mix of ages and backgrounds in the buildings now. my husband and i (and our dog!) are really missing our great neighbors and the friendly community.
