I'd recommend looking elsewhere. At first glance, it's seems like the ideal place.....beautiful deck, swimming pool, secure (so you think). Until you sign on the dotted line. Once you do, you are at the mercy of Merrit River Management. They will charge you for every thing that they can possibly think of....even if it's something that they forgot to charge you for. And oh no, don't even THINK about NOT paying. They will then get their legal team to evict you, and also they will evict if you are the slightest bit late on your rent (late fees are 10% of rent, so if your rent is $2,000, your late fee is $200.00). The property manager is cocky, rude and arrogant with absolutly no people skills. How that person is still there is beyond me. The parking garage is not safe (no security and cars have been vandalized) Oh yeah, you pay for parking on the top floor (the safest floor). And don't let the address fool you, there have been car jackings in the area as well as armed robbery ...that you can check with the police department. Then there are the false fire alarms. Be ready to get out of bed at all hours of the night only to be told that rthe alarm is false. Also Always be home when maintance enters your home. Just in case you don't realize...the train which starts at 5:00 a.m. will knock you out of bed..and oh, the cracks in the wall are from the trains....can't imagine what the condition of the structure is.....Anyway, just look elsewhere. You will be treated fairly almost anywhere else. And the most important thing...Have you attorney go over your lease before you sign on the dotted line!!

You have it correct. Garbage spills over the dumpster on the main floor P2, the floors are are filthy in the hallways ( indoors) In April of 2007 they discoverd a crack in the pool lining but neglected to do anything about it and now it is hot a holiday weekend and they sent out a notice on Friday the day people have guets arriving and the day people are planning on pool being opened stating " Major pool damage pool won't be open Memorial Day! Last minute and you could not find anyone to fix the pool in a solid months time??? The carpets were ruined with glue in the hallway as some of their prize people attempted to do the yearly carpet cleaning and they are still the same way 1 and 1/2 months later~!
The Management needs to wake up and see that people are paying a lot of money to live here, ( far beyond going rate to live in a nice place and they have let it be less than nice. ** They also charge a 400.00 a year amenity fee but yet we have no pool to use????

Maya needs to get a life and quit writing reviews. No one in their correct mind would write that they keep Merritt River Apt up. Lived here and don't now and I guess I am glad I don't because it appears the managemnet has sunk even lower to not fixing the pool and I agree they do charge 400.00 yearly for amenities????
